Who are we?

Ragone Cases was founded in 1974 by managing director, Claude Ragone. An A grade sheet metal tradesman and drummer in his own right with The Red House Roll Band, Claude saw a market to design and produce drum carrying cases. The business started out operating from his parents' shed in their back yard in Moonee Ponds. In 1975 Ragone Cases moved to its first factory which was located in Footscray and then in 1982 the business relocated to Airport West where it still stands today. The business not only manufactures Drum cases but also caters to a wide range of instruments and is proud to be the original founder in Australia of the Flight Case.

Ragone Cases is Australia's leading drum and instrument case manufacturer and over the years has manufactured Cases for a wide range of people including the Australian Army, Navy and Government Departments, The Police Force, The Australian Symphony Orchestra, Split Endz, Little River Band, John Butler Trio, Deep Purple and Liberace. Not only are our cases aesthetically pleasing, Ragone Cases are the best due to the craftsmanship involved in each and every case. Every case is handmade, fit to measure and highly durable.

Products

At Ragone Cases we cater to a wide range of products. Although we are mainly known for our Drum cases, we can custom make any case. There is no job too small or too large. We manufacture cases for Costumes, Scientific Test Equipment, Medical Equipment and all different types of instruments including Xylophones, Saxophones, Guitars and DJ Equipment. Any case can be lined at your request.

Polyethylene Cases

A case that is manufactured out of 3 mm Polyethylene plastic and secured with bifurcated rivets. All hardware is surface mounted. They are the lightest and most durable of the plastic cases.

Flight Cases

Commonly know as a Road Case, these are manufactured out of ABS Pre-Laminated Light Duty or Heavy Duty Plywood in a variety of thicknesses and secured with an aluminium angle and bifurcated rivets or pop rivets. All catches and handles are recessed with a ball corner secured on the corners of the case.

Custom Cases

These cases are made specifically to the customers requirements. These are either manufactured out of Polyethylene Material or ABS Pre-Laminated Plywood. You name it, we manufacture it.
